The Open University of Catalunya leads the ranking for the third consecutive year, followed by ESADE Business School in second place and OBS Business School in third place.
The demand and supply of online training has skyrocketed during 2020. The opportunity of being able to study a training course at prestigious universities from anywhere in the world, added to the convenience and flexibility of this type of education, have made to increase distance training.
According to Emagister data, 8% of students have enrolled in an online master's degree due to having more time thanks to teleworking. In addition, students evaluate online training in a very positive way: 87% of students think that the program "exceeded much or enough" their expectations, and 18% affirm that they have enrolled in the distance modality for prevention of the COVID-19, since this way "it is safer not to move or go to places with many people."
All these data serve as context for the Ranking of Spanish-Speaking Online Higher Education Institutions (FSO), which published its sixth edition last December by the intelligence and market research consultancy Hamilton Global Intelligence and with the Emagister collaboration. This classification is made up of the 25 best higher centers to study an online MBA, of which 15 are Spanish universities and centers.
In the FSO ranking of the 25 best higher centers to study an online MBA, there are also institutions from Mexico, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Panama and the United States. For this edition, Hamilton Global Intelligence has broken its own participation record, reaching the figure of 200 institutions that have requested to be evaluated to appear in the ranking.
In this VI edition, the Open University of Catalunya once again achieved the first position - a position in the ranking that it already occupied in the two previous editions -, followed by ESADE Business School in second place and the OBS Business School in third place. This podium is followed by the International University of La Rioja (UNIR) in fourth place, ESIC Business Marketing School in fifth and the European Postgraduate Institute (IEP) in sixth place.

A unique ranking globally
The FSO Ranking is the only one in the market that annually analyzes the Spanish-speaking online masters in Business Administration and Management. In this sixth edition of the FSO Ranking, institutions in Spain, Latin America and the United States have been evaluated through surveys directed at teachers responsible for the program, web metrics and more than 4,000 surveys of students and alumni in order to assess the degree of satisfaction and employability of students at the end of their training.
The FSO ranking includes all those institutions that offer higher online training of masters focused on Business Administration and Management, with a minimum of 70% online teaching, from any country that teaches it in Spanish and with at least five years of experience (or five editions of the master's degree to evaluate) teaching online modality.
