About 600 businessmen between Peruvians and foreigners carried out businesses for more than $ 52 million in the 11th edition of Industria Peru 2020, a business roundtable for the various manufacturing sector that showed the exportable offer of 12 regions of the country, reported the Commission for Promotion Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ)

The commercial platform, in its 100% digital version, was attended by 234 exporters from Lima, Arequipa, Ucayali, Lambayeque, San Martín, Madre de Dios, Loreto, Junín, Cusco, Puno, La Libertad and Piura. Of the total, 92% of the exporters were MSMEs, 14% participated for the first time and 28% of the negotiations at the table were led by women.

The exporters made commercial contacts with 341 buyers from 30 countries, completing 1,000 commercial appointments and more than $ 52 million in negotiations. Of the importers attending, 75% participated for the first time, 85% were of Latin American origin and the remaining 15% were from Europe and Asia.

The largest delegations were Bolivia (16%), Mexico (12%) and Guatemala (12%). In Europe, Spain and France stood out (with 14 and 11 buyers respectively), while South Korea also had an active presence, with 6 participants.

The international showcase showed the national offer in 11 lines: suppliers to mining, containers and packaging, equipment for the food industry, cosmetics, wood, medical equipment and supplies, power lines, finishes for construction and auto parts. Meanwhile, Arequipa, San Martín and Ucayali offered the best in natural ingredients for cosmetics and wood manufactures.
