The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú) launched the “Invest Week” event that will take place from November 30 to December 3 with the aim of making visible opportunities for investments in the country, promoting investment projects in prioritized sectors and attract foreign capital.
"Invest Week" will be made up of two international forums. One will be dedicated exclusively to tourism; while the other will be multisectoral. "In the latter, the investment opportunities for the high technology sectors, the food industry, various manufacturing, textiles, mining services and fishing for human consumption will be known," Promperú detailed through a statement.
Both forums aim to create a space for meeting, dialogue, exchange of ideas and negotiation, where national and international entrepreneurs and investors will know first-hand the opportunities and facilities that Peru offers for their capitals. In addition, it will allow to expand the network of contacts of the participants and hold business meetings.
Among the challenges assumed this year by Promperú, the entity reported that it is positioning Peru as a destination for business investment with trade openness to the world and with growing economic integration. "The‘ Invest Week ’represents the first step to achieve this international positioning," he remarked.
On the other hand, Promperú said that there are more than 400 participants registered in the forums, including investors, developers, brokers and consultants from 19 countries, which will generate around 3,000 business meetings based on specific investment opportunities, a figure It has exceeded all institutional expectations.
The organization of “Invest Week” is in charge of Promperú's Directorate for the Promotion of Business Investments. The entity specified that the business meeting will present the country's business portfolio, which has more than 50 investment projects from the private and public sectors, distributed in 16 regions and valued at US $ 750 million.
