Venezuela participates in the Multisectoral Business Roundtable of Expo ALADI 2020, an event that began virtually in Ecuador, in order to promote the regional market and strengthen commercial ties between the members of this association.

A total of 32 Venezuelan companies participate in this Latin American meeting of the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), made up of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Among the national companies that are present in the activity, the food sectors stand out, such as cocoa and its derivatives, fish, mollusks, coffee, fruits and vegetables; textile; footwear; chemical products; plastics; various manufactures and services related to ICT, refers to a Bancoex press release.

Boost trade

The purpose of this new edition is to increase and strengthen trade between member countries, as well as to enhance opportunities for companies to grow and increase their participation in the regional market through the commercialization of their exportable supply of goods and services.

In addition, it will allow the Latin American business sector to know the commercial opportunities that emanate from the agreements signed within the scope of ALADI.

This virtual exhibition is organized by ALADI and the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investments and Fisheries of Ecuador, through PRO Ecuador in which these same countries participate. Other nations will also be present, invited buyers from Central America and the Caribbean, to promote and diversify intra-regional trade.

The first edition of Expo ALADI was held in Uruguay in 2014. Since then it has been held in Argentina (2015), Mexico (2016), Bolivia (2017), Peru (2018) and Colombia (2019).
