The result reflects the slowdown in the drop in shipments abroad since the borders were closed in March. And for the last three months, Promperú specified that exports will reach US $ 10,189 million. The president of the Association of Exporters (ADEX), Erik Fischer Llanos, pointed out that traditional exports registered a decrease of 12.7% in July and 26.3% in the accumulated to that date. Meanwhile, non-traditional products fell 15.5% in July and 19.9% ​​accumulated. By sectors, textile had a 26.5% drop in July, after 45.1% in June. Clothing contracted 27.4% in July after registering -50.1% in the previous month. However, agro-exports have a level close to 2019. In July, their sales fell 5.5% and in the total they go -1%. Fischer added that the companies are not operating 100% due to health factors. "Some are assimilating the higher costs of operating not only in difficult conditions in terms of logistics and certifications, but with lower levels of productivity."
