Brazil, Chile and Colombia will release their unemployment data during the last week of the year, in which the markets will be aware of the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic and the start of the vaccination campaign.

"These data will allow us to have a much more detailed idea of the behavior of the labor market, a key to understanding how Latin American societies are evolving, how the same societies and the governments that lead them are responding" to the pandemic, Carlos Malamud, principal investigator at the Elcano Royal Institute, told Efe.

He stressed, however, that we will have to wait until the middle of next year to be able to analyze with more precision the possible responses and the evolution of the labor market.

These are the economic keys that will mark the week in Latin America:

MONDAY 28

The Ministry of Economy disclosed the generation of formal employment in Brazil in November.

TUESDAY 29

The Brazilian government disclosed the average unemployment rate for the quarter ended in November 2020.

WEDNESDAY 30
